NO. 214 - Ylang Ylang is a creamy Floriental fragrance for women and men. Evoking the bright yellow,  frilly star shaped flowers of Ylang Ylang. This hypnotic Orchid is widely known as the ‘flower of flowers’ across South East Asia, where it is highly prized for its night scented beauty. 

The aroma captures the very essence of this tropical orchid, from its initial bright floral opening, transitioning to a deep, creamy, warmth that quickly feels heady, intoxicating and exotic.

Scent Profile

Ylang Ylang is a rare scent that sits at all three levels of fragrance, weaving through top notes with a contrasting cooling accord, down into the creamy floral heart and deeper still into the warm, intoxicating narcotic base. It blurs and straddles lines with its naturally tender, yet complex accords, making it a prized perfumery agent across the globe. 

Our inspiration of Ylang Ylang opens with cool and subtle green citrus lift, echoing the color of the newly unfurling petals. The cool notes quickly dissolve into a luminous, creamy floral warmth as the flowers release their first scent as dusk starts to settle and lengths the shadows. 

Expanding into a rich, spicy and sensual floral heart, supported with the smooth, comforting depths of Geranium, Rose and Jasmine. The night air feels thick with sweetness and luscious warmth and wraps around your senses like soft, sumptuous velvet.

Understanding The IFRA Guidelines for Maximum Dilution

Maximum dilution for this fragrance oil depends on the products you are planning on making. It should be noted that maximum dilutions are from a safety aspect only, based on the chemical composition of the oil. 

In some cases these are very high, because all components are relatively benign. These amounts are not necessarily recommendations of how much to use in your recipe. They may smell too strong or make the item prohibitively expensive to produce. 

As long as you remain below the advised limits, you can be as generous or as frugal as you like. Use more, use less. We’ll leave the creative stuff to you.

Based on the ingredients used, as per the International Fragrance Regulation Authority, the maximum dilutions given above apply.

Blending NO. 214

We find it lends itself beautifully to blending with its sensual, warm and creamy range of aromatics. It makes for an extremely versatile and highly coveted fragrance oil for the modern scent connoisseur. Try blending it with:

• NO. 214 Fragrance Oil Is not approved under IFRA safety guidelines for any kind of lip or mouth related products as per their categories 1 and 6.

We recommend testing a small amount before scaling up to larger size formulations. As with all VINEVIDA products. 

• While NO. 214 Fragrance Oil will have no therapeutic properties, because it is a synthetic product, it’s a wonderful way to scent your home. Have the best time experimenting and making your home an ever more beautiful expression of you.
